Our History
How It Began
The Company’s roots are in a broker operation formerly trading as FVR (UK) Ltd. The broker operations ceased in 2016 in favour of developing the new sustainable rental fleet which the Company has successfully implemented with a sole operational focus on the current marketplace since 2016.
Our Growth
From 2016 to 2022, Liquid Fleet established itself solely in the business-to-business rental leasing sector whilst growing its fleet size year on year before reaching 2788 in December 2022.
Management Buyout
In December 2022, the family owners were keen to sell the company to a team that would be able to grow the business further with the introduction of EVs and a fluctuating market post COVID. As a result, Liquid Fleet went through a Management Buy Out led by Ismael Aumeerally (then Operations Director) supported by Dirk Van Dijl and Martin Potter along with the other staff members through an Employee Ownership Trust arrangement.
Greater Growth
In December 2023, the previous owners had their sale proceeds completely paid off by the current team at Liquid Fleet thus making us a fully Employee-Owned business. As a result of the sale completion, Liquid Fleet has secured terms with nearly all car and van manufacturers currently represented in the UK. In real terms, we have increased our choice of stock availability by 500%.
Diversification
Since April 2024, Liquid Fleet has started working on diversification as the market transitions towards total electrification by 2030. Due to Government legislation all newly registered cars will gradually move towards a ZEV Mandate goal of all cars being Battery Electric powered vehicles by 2030. Therefore, the dynamics of the vehicle industry are going through a significant change in the market place and Liquid Fleet are working with its customers to ensure that transition is as smooth as possible and as a result Liquid Fleet has already started broadening its customer base and product offering to include more corporate customers and their employees to grow whilst helping our clients to achieve their sustainability goals.
